We also had the pleasure of spending 5 hours with Charlie on a wine tour Saturday which was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the area took us to some beautiful locations! We would definitely take this tour again with friends on our next visit and recommend this to future visitors!
Great family campground with lots of activities - rain or shine. We stayed Labor Day weekend and there was entertainment, corn hole tournament, a food truck and so much more. Ask for a spot on the hill of you want quiet - pretty private and wooded. We will come back!
Very disappointing trip to this so called "resort." Our reservation was changed without notice to a much less desirable spot behind the game room. When we questioned the front desk, they said that they would have to find someone else to switch with us - like that is going to happen. I am sure that no one else would want this small spot with very little outdoor space. No mountain view for us....not at all like the website. The campers are packed in here like firewood. I guess that's camping for some but not for us!
Thank you for a great experience!
Went to visit campground for possible upcoming trip in few weeks. While the campground is nice, the staff in the office needs some work. Asked for a map & was told to take a picture of laminated map on counter. When I asked for an actual map again, was told that they were running low & saving them for actual customers. Asked about availability & she told us they were booked into November & we should have checked earlier. But them said they have availability next year. I mean really??? Needless to say, I won't be staying there & will give my business to Walnut Hills campground in Staunton.
My husband and I visited this location for the first time this past weekend. I just wanted to say what an awesome time we had! We are new campers (just purchased our camper 2 months ago) and have stayed mainly with KOA's because they seemed to be a "safe" bet. However, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the Misty Mountain facility, quality of the marketing items in the shop and other items around the area. Little things (like nice resort style chairs by the pool) really do make a great difference and I just want to commend Misty Mountain on maintaining such a nice facility!
Can't say enough good things!
Great place! We stayed one night in a cabin on our way West but wanted to stay longer! The cabin was perfect, the pool was very nice, kids loved the sprinkler playground and the two other playgrounds. The grounds are well kept, great store, and great walking trails...
